A headband made with Lion Brand Suede, in 'spice'-the autumny, orangish color. The suede is soo soft, it's made from polyester, it has at last found a use, as washable sueded fabric & yarn, though dry cleaning is better for it. I didn't use clear elastic at the back this time, I just used the stretchy double crochet foundation stitch.

Gone to Seed/Next Generation

Mint gone to seed, even though it is a perennial & does sometimes die-back to the ground in zone 9 but I just leave the stalks to let me know where it was & each spring it comes back & spreads. There are many kinds of mint: spearmint, peppermint, chocolate mint, pineapple mint, Egyptian mint, etc. They can spread but they're not exactly ivy, I don't mind if the mint spreads, I consider it groundcover; I also cut a small bunch & throw it in the car, it helps with motion-sickness & smells better to me than any car "air freshener". The pic with a black background is mint catkins.
The next pic is of Italian oregano, there are many kinds of this as well. This is also a perennial, as opposed to annual-1 time. It has a wiry stem, so to use the leaves I tear them away all at once, the same way as for removing thorns from rose canes.
The purplish flowers are basil, I think it was a purple basil that reverted to green. The seeds even smell strongly like the leaves & are small, blackish, found inside round flat discs on the stem. They require bottom heat, I just use a plastic lid & put them on the cable box; you probably could use a heating pad on low for much less than the greenhouse version that sells for $60 to $70.
I miss my hollyhocks, I used to be able to buy seeds for the color advertized, but the last time I bought pink they were all white doubles. I also bought the more expensive orange bell pepper plants & when the time came-they were red. So I bought a few orange bellpeppers at the grocery store, scooped out the seeds & grew them from that. The reason why orange bellpeppers are more expensive is because fewer of their seeds sprout-even with bottom heat. Yellow peppers have a higher germination rate than orange, but red-nearly ALL of those seeds sprout, hence they're cheaper.
I looked at the back of seed packets & far too many are, you guessed it 'Made in China'. I think that's why my rosy hollyhocks were actually white doubles, & that's also why I bought plants I thought were orange bellpeppers-I paid for them-but those Walmart plants were just cheap red bellpeppers.
I am reminded of history, when the British were in China they were sold what they believed where tea plants, but they turned out to be just tea-roses instead. They had to wait till they matured & bloomed to realize this which was at least 6 months. The Brits kept going back to China, when all they had were those wooden ships, & the Chinese sold them all kinds of camellias, gardenias, magnolias-in an effort to prevent them from finding the real tea plant, which is I think a member of the camellia family. This link shows the history of tea-I was wrong, the British WERE LAST to go to China, Portugese were 1st!

Winter Blooming Honeysuckle

Winter Flowers
I have a hanging strawberry plant & it's still blooming & fruiting, though last night it was 40F, so I thought I'd post a few pics showing what the strawberry looks like when it is a flower & what it looks like (green) as it grows & ripens into the well known berry.
The other 2 pics are of an Angel's Trumpet/Datura, native to the Americas. I have waited 3 years for this to bloom & finally it has, in December. It has a little bit of fragrance, it might be stronger if it were warmer. I have a bright pink Oleander & it becomes fragrant only if it is above 70F.

Birds & Goddesses
In the ancient world people thought birds could see everything, so they were considered wise. When the last change to a new age occurred everything that was valued became demonized, fell out of fashion. Bird-brain became an insult & synonymous with stupidity. All the old deities were branded "evil" & they even managed to get rid of priestesses-unthinkable by those intimate with the Age of the Ram, but now at the end of the Age of the Fish everything turned upside down & reverting, deities once vigorously demonized are being seen in a new way.
The Olympic Pantheon seems to be nearer, or at least on a lot of people's minds: from commercials to a tv series "Valentine", "Xena" in the 90s, & "Hercules"2.
Isn't this what people want, something magical, something bigger than themselves but here with Humans; it's not like there isn't a precedent-a god wandering around in Human form, so why not a goddess?
This is what I sense slowly taking place, someone who brings unexpected good changes. I think this desire is seen in several films: Lady in the Water,
Splash, Harry Potter....
There is a desire out there, to make contact, to see...something....to feel there is more to life than work, toiling away, cooking, cleaning, going about one's daily life. This is what the various dominant religions are trying to fulfill, this....something just on the edges....outside of words.
This is why people go to church, the candles, the songs, the ritual of it all.....wanting to see the glowing magic pixie dust IN the 'bread of life'....to see something beautiful, just outside of words, something sacred to "recharge" one's exhausted soul, to drink the 'waters of life'-an old Egyptian tittle...
I want this, to see something outside the skin, to see into para-normal places, to borrow from the author of "Entangled Minds". It seems to me that humans need regular contact with the spirit-world, or the dream-world, with something magic. A dream is what got the Singer Sewing Machine invented; things seen in dreams often are the source of inventions. Dreams containing the impetus to found a city have been recorded, the Sphinx in Egypt was dug out because of a dream a Pharoh had & even wrote it down. Numerous passages in the Christian Bible recounting how a dream changed the direction of the dreamer's life.
Will a goddess arrive on planet Earth? Water carriers are traditionally women, & a goddess would definately be a strong contrast with the only-male deities of the last 2000 years, Hinduism notwithstanding. If Aquarius will be female how would anyone recognize her? What are the signs of divinity? They may not be what is expected; are there any prophecies concerning the next deity?

Economic Deja-Vu
I've seen this before, it was the late 1980s-I guess the saying is true: what a person does in the past is an indicator of what they'll do in the future. I only vaguely remember talk of $500 hammers the Pentagon bought from their buddies with the tax-payers' money; same men got back into government & suddenly "greed is good" was broadly heard everywhere, like that character from the film "Wallstreet".
Deficits as far as the eye can see, huge ballooning costs blindly ok'd to 'defense', as if throwing money wildly & carelessly around makes you 'tough on terror'. That idiot * wars money-hole will never get beyond pipe-dream phase, Atari's Missile Command is as close as they'll ever come, it's real(video game), maybe Poland will fall for this swindle, who knows? It's just like the end of the 80s again, even with the crazy rumor-mongoring about the 'dangers' of a Democratic President. Horse apples!
"The Bush administration has informed Congress that it is bypassing a law..." "....because it
infringed on the president’s powers...." from the New York Times Oct 25th.
"A parallel new Bush doctrine is emerging...." "...this
one also casts international law aside by insisting that the United States
has an inherent right to cross international borders in "hot pursuit" of
anyone it doesn't like...." This sets a very dangerous precedent, I wonder what happens when China does what Bush does, when Russia does what Bush does. This is destroying respect for the rule of law entirely & its ultimate end-goal is the bully wins. This is how animals rule each other, by merely beating others into subjugation.http://www.commondreams.org/headline/2008/10/28
The response of the Bush Regime when Russia got into a skirmish with Georgia highlighted the catastrophic short-sightedness of Bush's circle; apparently his clique can do whatever they want but no one else can. They're the "in crowd"-untouchable, not answerable to anyone-certainly not to U.S. courts, thus they ignore subpoenas.
As if this were not bad enough we have this:
"The Government Accountability Office said 72 percent of
all foreign corporations and about 57 percent of U.S.
companies doing business in the United States paid no
federal income taxes for at least one year between 1998
and 2005."http://www.reuters.com/articlePrint?articleId=USN1249465620080812
The above is a major reason why America is short of funds for infrastructure, schools, state budgets, etc. So when an American fails to pay their taxes they get their homes taken-like Willie Nelson, but when businesses fail to pay what they owe-nothing happens to them. Bridges fall down, meals on wheels gets shut down, home health care nurses get fired-states don't have the money. what are the businesses going to do if that old meanie Uncle Sam insists they pay what they owe, outsource even more jobs?
So it's 'staycations' & workers at vacation spots are let go, local restaraunts are closing, people aren't able to buy much when practically everything is Made in China. Automalls are ghost-parking lots now.
Yet Scrooge business owners claim Americans don't want to work at manufacturing plants, don't want to make tennis shoes, or computers, or clothes, or bleeding-edge technology, that is where I believe most growth exists.
The Scrooge Media has reporters stand in front of empty houses & report on home foreclosures, but they don't talk with the people who were forced out of those homes, they don't want to show the human costs, they don't want viewers to identify with those people, they want viewers to see it from the Bankster's viewpoint.
I recommend buying from Thriftown in the Western States & similar shops elswhere. You may find safe vintage toys there that were Made in America. Scrape the seeds from bell peppers & tomatos & grow from those; freeze your harvests of corn, just like you buy at the supermarket it can be on-the-cob or just kernels, frozen peas, freeze chopped carrots. This mostly is supplemental for me, I'd have to grow a lot more next year to cut back on buying at the supermarket.
It is frustrating watching my nation being flushed down the toilet, there were backstops against this, I guess those in power just don't care.

http://wvgazette.com/News/२००८१०२५०५६० An independent study determined that ES&S touch-screen machines could be "compromised and modified without detection, conceivably occurring before, during or after an election," presenting "serious risks to election integrity।" In recent days, at least 14 voters from Jackson, Putnam, Berkeley, Ohio, Monongalia and Greenbrier counties have told The Charleston Gazette that ES&S machines switched their votes from Democratic to Republican candidates.
Greenhalgh worked for ES&S from July 1997 until May 2008। Greenhalgh said Friday, "I have nothing to do with ES&S now. I have not worked with them since May 30, 2008." His wife, Jane Greenhalgh, is now the top representative for ES&S in West Virginia, according to Deputy Secretary of State Sarah C. Bailey. Asked why he left, Greenhalgh said, "I have no comment whatsoever."
Asked whether his wife works for ES&S, Gary Greenhalgh said, "I have no idea." Asked why he did not know where his wife works, Greenhalgh said, "I am not going to answer any questions."

Told You So
"...the Bush Treasury Department's decision to redact key parts of private contracts that would tell the public how much taxpayer cash various law firms, accounting companies..."
"...it's acceptable for the government to hide the amounts that taxpayers will be forced to pay these well-connected execs and fat cats - and that this information will come out at some point in the future anyway..." It will never come out in the future, if they get away with it now it sets a precedent that reveals they NEVER have to tell how they stole taxpayers' money. They feel they are above the law & all their actions prove it-'I don't have to answer to you', this is the message they're sending.

Florilegium: Sovereignity
Sovereign: 1 a monarch or other supreme ruler; 2 a body of persons or a state having sovereignity. Middle English=soverain Old French=soverain Vulgar Latin=super+anus Eureka! Or perhaps Yreka! I have figured out why a small group of people have been attempting to destroy the sovereignity of democratically representative States/nations!
Anus=Uranus. I am just going to go over this quickly & may or may not bother with putting up the many links regarding signing statements putting himself above the law he is signing. But-I first noticed & noted it when JonBenet's parents "declined" to go to the police station for questioning, etc. I didn't think it was optional, to be honest. Later, Condi ignored a subpoena-she was too busy or something, then more who fancy themselves above the laws of the U.S.(as well as ALL other nations) also ignored subpoenas.
Thinking back to Bill Clinton & the absolute testeria the Neocons made about the President lying!!! I compared the vastly different styles of #42 & #43 & have found Hypocrisy Inc. I know, painfully obvious, tribal-based systems judge 1 guilty or innocent not by acts taken but by membership of tribe. You're either with the "in crowd" or you're out & therefore guilty. They never let reality interfere with their decisions, or at least they try not to let reality dictate to them-does reality even know who they are? These people feel what they say overrides reality.
Recently read an article that describes how difficult it is to get these kinds of people to see the unvarnished truth, i.e. something as simple as agreeing on whether it's night or day.
"There's No Arguing With Conservatives ... No, Seriously, Scientific Studies Prove It
Dan Sweeney" From the Washington Post article on the study, which came out on September 15th.

They call it the 'backfire effect', if someone uses facts to try to prove a false view false the crazy clings like a barnicle to the fantasy twice as hard. This is all throughout America, I can't speak for other countries but I would expect it to spread with evangelism. Faith-based people are extremely vulnerable to this, it amounts to a contest of emotions, of who walks away feeling they won, never mind the facts, mission accomplished.
My father is one of these people & for him nothing after 1982 is real. He has what I call a recording or speel(don't know how to spell it but..)& he just starts when anything uncomfortable for him is said/written by me. He, like the Neocons, genuinely feels my facts are an attack on him & how he feels toward his made-up world. Any attempts to puncture his bubble is felt not as a rescue but as an attack.
It's the same only this is on a national/world scale. I can easily imagine a European making disparaging-but-true comments(unfortunately, wish it weren't true) & getting slagged by Americans. It's more prevalent among conservatives & rare among liberals, but I would probably be able to get at the lib's vulnerable spot-it's a gift.
So 'rendering' started under #42 & the trust slug can't resist open derision for rules, treaties, & laws. It's typical of those born to wealth-see F Scott Fitzgerald for some examples, also various gossip sites online & off for the outrageous pompousness of the rich & stupid. Stupid because they don't know 'how-to' yet insist on being in charge. See the Janissaries & how they fared http://www.mikeantonucci.com/janissaries.htm
http://www.allaboutturkey.com/yeniceri.htm http://lexicorient.com/e.o/janissaries.htm The way I see it was they became so 'elite' that wealthy mothers insisted their idiot sons be members & that was that, generally.

7 Hills of Ancient Rome & Copycat Fish
First this http://ancienthistory.about.com/od/cityofrome/ss/7hillsofRome.htm
Of Early Rome:Cermalus Cispius Fagutal Oppius Palatium Sucusa Velia Aventinus (Aventine) Caelius (Caelian) Capitolium (Capitoline) Esquiliae (Esquiline) Palatium (Palatine) Quirinalis (Quirinal) Viminalis (Viminal)
This hill is where Remus chose to live. In historical times it was the home of the plebeans, who built a temple to Ceres in the 5th century BCE. It also had temples for Liber and Libera. Many of Rome's elite lived on this hill during the Roman Republic. This hill was the site of many of Rome's earliest fortresses. It was also the hill of the government. The temples of Jupiter Optimus Maximus, Juno Moneta, and Concord are located on this hill. This hill had a walled city on it since at least the 700s BCE. This hill is the hill of Romulus. In Classical times it was the hill where Rome's rich and powerful chose to live. Walled villages and tombs have been found here, and the people who lived in those villages seem to be dominant to their contemporaries since the 700s BCE. The temple of Magna Mater is located on the Palentine. It is on this hill that the Sabines once lived and built their city. Archaeological evidence supports habitation of this hill since at least the 8th century BCE through tomb and walled village excavations. This is the smallest of the Seven Great Hills, and was one of the last to be included inside the walls of Rome. From here http://www.musesrealm.net/rome/sevenhills.html
I mention these pre-Piscean 7 hills because I have watched as some group calling themselves "The New Apostolic Reformation" has stolen & somehow twisted an ancient Hellenist concept into a nasty 12th House "plan": 'Lance Wallnau summarizes the Seven Mountain Strategy to take control of religion, government, family, education, arts and entertainment, media, and business.'
These Claymation-Creations make fake claims of victory over the Queen of Heaven; now I know why I had the urge to go to the Himalayas in the 1990s. I'm tired of getting this Queen's stuff 'forwarded' to me...The above demonstrates the theft by Fish of older concepts-they even insist on calling their Piscean Fish-God the 'Lamb of God', that title properly belongs to Aries/Mars, whose animals are the ram, the lamb, the rooster, the goose, etc.
Fish-your Age/Aeon ended in January 2001. This is becoming more evident by the minute; your slaves are going into hysterics, also testerics for the boys. Even Zeus could not rebel against this very old pattern, the Precession of the Equinoxes aka Astrotheology. I notice with amusement how Fish follow the trends: now they claim Jesus is Neo (he's actually the Matix, the mirage), Jesus as a vampire (like Lestat? Or Nicholai from Forever Knight?) Jesus as Rambo (well the 80s are 'in' right now...)
The Eternal War waged by the 12th House against the 1st House goes on. The Pioneering Spirit native to the 1st House continues, inventing surprising new things, new concepts, new directions.
I keep hearing from 12th House Religions about the 'evil of the material world'-classic Fish-claim. Let's take a look at WHAT the 1st House represents. who you are, what you'll become, the physical body-especially the face and head(this very likely is changing to 11th House associations), your approach to life, your personality; what kind of groups/clubs/societies/professional associations you belong to, how you interact with these groups, how these groups change you, creative vision, dreams, connections between the past and the future, sudden changes, philanthropy, misanthropy, foster children/orphans, step-children. Reality, limits, time chronos/cairos, science.
What is there that Bhuddists dislike? What is there that Christians dislike? Why are Christians suddenly becoming weird toward scientists? I know astrologers claim that the priests of Aquarius are supposed to be scientists but it doesn't look like that's happening currently. Muslims also seem to be having problems with science & scientists.
Now let's look at what flourishes in the 12th House:Getting lost in dreams/nightmares, confusion, secrets kept from ourselves, delusions, dangers both fake and real, secret enemies, clandestine activities, self-destruction, self-delusion, mirages, jails, asylums, institutions, confinement, madness, altered states.
So there you have it, take your pick, make your choice: 1st House or 12th-choose which side.
Of Early Rome:
Of Later Rome:
Aventine: Mons/Collis Aventinus
Caelian: Mons/Collis Caelius
Capitoline: Mons/Collis Capitolinus
Esquiline: Mons/Collis Esquilinus
Palatine: Mons/Collis Palatinus
Quirinal: Mons/Collis Quirinalis
Viminalis: Mons/Collis Viminalis

Ultimately choosing a child over a man
I watched the series Alley McBeal & I wondered as it was nearing the end of the series...that child-her daughter, from donating an egg to pay for her schooling; the premise is real enough, I've seen ads in various newspapers but. After all the twists & turns with Billy, after all those dates....to hear her narrate it I KNEW, & I must say I was disappointed, it's a choice many women are forced to make because of the standards of what it is to be men & how men are expected to behave & relate, & what is expected of women, what is discouraged & encouraged of women. "The girls who made the pregnancy pact — some of whom, according to Sullivan, reacted to the news that they were expecting with high fives and plans for baby showers — declined to be interviewed. So did their parents. But Amanda Ireland, who graduated from Gloucester High on June 8, thinks she knows why these girls wanted to get pregnant. Ireland, 18, gave birth her freshman year and says some of her now pregnant schoolmates regularly approached her in the hall, remarking how lucky she was to have a baby. "They're so excited to finally have someone to love them unconditionally," Ireland says. "I try to explain it's hard to feel loved when an infant is screaming to be fed at 3 a.m."
Schools Superintendent Christopher Farmer told WBZ's Bill Shields Thursday the girls had "an agreement to get pregnant."
"Farmer said these are generally "girls who lack self-esteem and have a lack of love in their life."
"The common threat is the lack of self-esteem and purpose in life, and a lack of a sense of direction," said Farmer. "Young women wanting and needing affection."
Alienation is a good word to ponder here, the old models for men & women aren't working anymore. Men need to accept that they're Human & have a whole spectrum of feelings & this is normal. Women need to see more of life & drop the frenemy crap; dropping the permanent cheerful smile too many habitually wear-even while describing a car that jumped the sidewalk & plowed into people is so far beyond having a connection-emotionally-to what was witnessed it is clearly an insincere 'cheerful happy face'. I have seen a few stories on my local news & that is what I saw, those smiling women describing a frightening event. It's okay to feel afraid, it's normal to be sad sometimes, it's healthy to feel bitter, especially if you've suffered through a traumatizing event; covering & denying such feelings can do real damage. I don't want men to be little more than a sperm donor & an atm, I personally don't want to be 'arm candy', a 'cactus', or someone you get rid of when times are good again.
The Cultural Ideals are the places to challenge this failing status quo, otherwise women will continue to choose children & dogs/cats over men because men keep spending more than 50% of their time with their boyfriends instead of their girlfriends or wives. Some men make fun of women who take their dogs to work-well she can't take her boyfriend to work, last I checked there was no Take Your Boyfriend To Work Day, but there is a Take Your Child To Work Day-would he even go if there were?
This is why I was disappointed with Alley McBeal because ultimately she did what most women are resigned to do, choose children & animals because they are more emotionally satisfying for women; they never found him, the one who wouldn't leave you guessing where you stood with him, the one who didn't sidestep when it got difficult-whether it's breast cancer, ms, car accident....they never found him, is he real?

Neptune in Astronomy & Astrologyhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif
Here is a link that describes the effects the planet Neptune has in each House, both positive and destructive. Here is a link that describes the discovery of the planet Neptune-Uranus was actually found in the sky before Neptune, the "Sea King Star" or Poseidon or the Little Mermaid's father. Neptune is the Ruler of the 12th House and he specializes in what gives the 12th House its' reputation.

Who's on First? 1 vs 12

There are several pics here, the stone rams are from Sudan and they are very similar to the red eyed rams that archaeologists had found in Africa. People have realized that the old gods and goddesses are 'monsterized' by the new upstart god-that being Pisces, whose sign is the Fish. It is why certain Abrahamic sects make it a practice of killing Amen-Re: Jews, Muslims, perhaps some Christians too; they are ritually killing the symbol of the greatest god who came & ruled before them.
So red eyes are a symbol of the 1st House, just as fish are a symbol for the 12th House, & each House has its specialities & are known by certain signs. The 1st House has never been so badly slandered as now, it is considered the House of Life, with emphasis on the face & head/skull. The 1st is about who you are, what you'll become, the methods you'll use to get what you want, the personality, the demeanor and physical appearance. The ideas that make you excited, the thing you want to explore, where you like to pioneer or what you enjoy having first before your friends/family.
The 12th House is about the unconscious mind, subconsciously, self-repression & self-denial, self-delusion & self destruction, getting confused or confusing others. It rules jails, hospitals, institutions, asylums & any place that inhibits freedom; dangers-real & unreal, secrets & clandestine affairs, it loves to camoflauge people & events making them seem & feel the opposite of what they truly are. Madness & illness are another 12th House specialty, forgotten memories, repressed memories, self-sacrfice & things not of the natural world are some things this house prefers & promotes. All Piscean religions:Bhuddism, Islam(I actually prefer the 19thC term Mohammetism, it sounds quaint & easier for me to remember), Christianity, Zionism-all deemphasize the physical, natural world & encourage looking past it towards their realm of purely spirit or dreams. There are beneficial things that can be gotten from this House but it depends on the individual, I do sense & see many signs that the Piscean Age/Era is coming to a close. This is why the many servants of this House are acting up & strangely attacking scientists-they are supposedly the "priests" of Aquarius....the Fish certainly insist that science is somehow a competing religion....
plants in unseen phase

I added a few pics of a grape plant, the seedless variety called "Fantasy", it's a dark purple "table" grape, which just means the kind you eat instead of a wine type. Everyone is probably familiar with peach blossoms, they look essentially the same to me as cherry blossoms, the tiny green Grinchy peaches later are a giveaway-they have very fine silvery/green fuzz all over them.

Astrology vs Astronomy
I had thought when reading my horoscope that I had my correct sunsign, but I was wrong. I had looked up my birthdate & noted the sign it was said to be in-how difficult could it be, right? Wrong...due to ancient Biblical laws that forbade studying the stars & their positions in the sky caused alot of problems & one of those problems is that modern astrologers are reading star charts that are 2000 years old; every position stated is 2000 years out of date, & they call this Tropical Astrology.
I want to know where the sun was when I was born for real, not where it was two thousand years ago. So I bought an inexpensive, no-frills astronomy software that said I was the sign before my "paper" sign-I was surprised. I then looked up all my planets & was surprised by how it differed from the horoscope I had gotten for my birthday.
Now his lovely wife-the Moon-has joined him & will help him maintain these mirages & the confusion. Moonlight makes everything look very different from what it actually is; another specialty of the Moon is making people feel the opposite of what they would naturally would feel-in any situation, where jobs/career are concerned, real estate, banking, what the safest path would be. These 2 are having fun fooling Capricorn & the 10th House right now & the best advice is to wait until the Moon is out of Capricorn, on June 24-25 it will be in Aquarius & on the 26 it will be in Pisces-her husband's sign, her sign being Cancer/Scarab.
Jupiter & Pluto being in Sagittarius must be having quite an expanding effect on philosophy, higher learning, religion, long-distance travel, the healthcare system; Pluto's effects are thoroughly testing all of these, seeing if it holds up to close inspection or should be transformed/mutated to something else, or completely gotten rid of altogether. The airline industry seems to always need yet another government handout-every decade it seems-yet insists that the taxpayers who bail them out don't get ownership rights on the airlines-go figure. It's "you pay for it you own it" except if it's the airlines & the pharmaceutical companies.
A lot of religions seem to be going through crises now, being shaken to their foundations, their secrets let out-Pluto's doing.
Uranus/Urania in Aquarius will reveal just what exactly Human Nature actually is, as well as perhaps creating a new & somewhat unexpected change to electrical power lines, household electrical wiring-gold is the very best conducter for electricity, & plumbing/water supplies, how water is used, how it's valued, new ways to keep it/use it/carry it.
Saturn in Leo holds the temptation of being a dictator, egotistical, stubborn, dogmatic. The brighter side of Saturn in Leo is genuine rule via true strength, well-tested real abilities, a meritocracy, a realistic view of the limits in the real world-of resources, of people, of crops, etc.
Mars also being in Leo brings alot of pushy, pioneering attitude. Strong-willed, fearless, loves to try new things; but the darker aspects is a willingness to start fights, pompous, self-righteous, intimidating, not thinking things through before acting. Saturn is a very good balance here actually because he likes to plan carefully in advance. Saturn is the natural ruler of Capricorn & can use Mars' pioneering energy & create a solution to the banking mess caused by Neptune, Saturn specializes in the rules & Mars loves to blaze new trails.
Mercury in Taurus may slow down the fleet-footed God, perhaps long enough to help out Saturn & Mars, since Taurus is always drawn to material things & luxuries & comfort & banks/money/currency have something to do with those Taurean things. Snail mail & the pleasure of opening actual mail, love letters, reassurances by mail/email/instant messaging all filled with & concerned about what really matters-for each individual. Patient, resourceful, practical, enduring, realistic-all weighing heavily on many people's minds.
The Sun in Gemini-duality, hybrids, being attracted to the unusual, new things seem a better choice. Duality is here in Venus as well-the Morning & Evening Star. Shallow, flighty, insincere are the pitfalls of Gemini; flexibility, tactful, well-read, good to be around, full of interesting stories, an open willingness to communicate are the many strengths of Gemini. Ceres is an old Grain Goddess, so the falling harvests of the world's various grains can best be solved at this time by openly communicating what is going wrong & the possible solutions-like genetic engineering drought tolerant grains & grains that mature in shorter time periods instead of engineering crops with bug spray in them.
