Ultimately choosing a child over a man

I watched the series Alley McBeal & I wondered as it was nearing the end of the series...that child-her daughter, from donating an egg to pay for her schooling; the premise is real enough, I've seen ads in various newspapers but. After all the twists & turns with Billy, after all those dates....to hear her narrate it I KNEW, & I must say I was disappointed, it's a choice many women are forced to make because of the standards of what it is to be men & how men are expected to behave & relate, & what is expected of women, what is discouraged & encouraged of women. "The girls who made the pregnancy pact — some of whom, according to Sullivan, reacted to the news that they were expecting with high fives and plans for baby showers — declined to be interviewed. So did their parents. But Amanda Ireland, who graduated from Gloucester High on June 8, thinks she knows why these girls wanted to get pregnant. Ireland, 18, gave birth her freshman year and says some of her now pregnant schoolmates regularly approached her in the hall, remarking how lucky she was to have a baby. "They're so excited to finally have someone to love them unconditionally," Ireland says. "I try to explain it's hard to feel loved when an infant is screaming to be fed at 3 a.m."
Schools Superintendent Christopher Farmer told WBZ's Bill Shields Thursday the girls had "an agreement to get pregnant."

"Farmer said these are generally "girls who lack self-esteem and have a lack of love in their life."

"The common threat is the lack of self-esteem and purpose in life, and a lack of a sense of direction," said Farmer. "Young women wanting and needing affection."

Alienation is a good word to ponder here, the old models for men & women aren't working anymore. Men need to accept that they're Human & have a whole spectrum of feelings & this is normal. Women need to see more of life & drop the frenemy crap; dropping the permanent cheerful smile too many habitually wear-even while describing a car that jumped the sidewalk & plowed into people is so far beyond having a connection-emotionally-to what was witnessed it is clearly an insincere 'cheerful happy face'. I have seen a few stories on my local news & that is what I saw, those smiling women describing a frightening event. It's okay to feel afraid, it's normal to be sad sometimes, it's healthy to feel bitter, especially if you've suffered through a traumatizing event; covering & denying such feelings can do real damage. I don't want men to be little more than a sperm donor & an atm, I personally don't want to be 'arm candy', a 'cactus', or someone you get rid of when times are good again.

The Cultural Ideals are the places to challenge this failing status quo, otherwise women will continue to choose children & dogs/cats over men because men keep spending more than 50% of their time with their boyfriends instead of their girlfriends or wives. Some men make fun of women who take their dogs to work-well she can't take her boyfriend to work, last I checked there was no Take Your Boyfriend To Work Day, but there is a Take Your Child To Work Day-would he even go if there were?

This is why I was disappointed with Alley McBeal because ultimately she did what most women are resigned to do, choose children & animals because they are more emotionally satisfying for women; they never found him, the one who wouldn't leave you guessing where you stood with him, the one who didn't sidestep when it got difficult-whether it's breast cancer, ms, car accident....they never found him, is he real?

Neptune in Astronomy & Astrologyhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif

Here is a link that describes the effects the planet Neptune has in each House, both positive and destructive. Here is a link that describes the discovery of the planet Neptune-Uranus was actually found in the sky before Neptune, the "Sea King Star" or Poseidon or the Little Mermaid's father. Neptune is the Ruler of the 12th House and he specializes in what gives the 12th House its' reputation.

Who's on First? 1 vs 12

There are several pics here, the stone rams are from Sudan and they are very similar to the red eyed rams that archaeologists had found in Africa. People have realized that the old gods and goddesses are 'monsterized' by the new upstart god-that being Pisces, whose sign is the Fish. It is why certain Abrahamic sects make it a practice of killing Amen-Re: Jews, Muslims, perhaps some Christians too; they are ritually killing the symbol of the greatest god who came & ruled before them.

So red eyes are a symbol of the 1st House, just as fish are a symbol for the 12th House, & each House has its specialities & are known by certain signs. The 1st House has never been so badly slandered as now, it is considered the House of Life, with emphasis on the face & head/skull. The 1st is about who you are, what you'll become, the methods you'll use to get what you want, the personality, the demeanor and physical appearance. The ideas that make you excited, the thing you want to explore, where you like to pioneer or what you enjoy having first before your friends/family.

The 12th House is about the unconscious mind, subconsciously, self-repression & self-denial, self-delusion & self destruction, getting confused or confusing others. It rules jails, hospitals, institutions, asylums & any place that inhibits freedom; dangers-real & unreal, secrets & clandestine affairs, it loves to camoflauge people & events making them seem & feel the opposite of what they truly are. Madness & illness are another 12th House specialty, forgotten memories, repressed memories, self-sacrfice & things not of the natural world are some things this house prefers & promotes. All Piscean religions:Bhuddism, Islam(I actually prefer the 19thC term Mohammetism, it sounds quaint & easier for me to remember), Christianity, Zionism-all deemphasize the physical, natural world & encourage looking past it towards their realm of purely spirit or dreams. There are beneficial things that can be gotten from this House but it depends on the individual, I do sense & see many signs that the Piscean Age/Era is coming to a close. This is why the many servants of this House are acting up & strangely attacking scientists-they are supposedly the "priests" of Aquarius....the Fish certainly insist that science is somehow a competing religion....

plants in unseen phase

I added a few pics of a grape plant, the seedless variety called "Fantasy", it's a dark purple "table" grape, which just means the kind you eat instead of a wine type. Everyone is probably familiar with peach blossoms, they look essentially the same to me as cherry blossoms, the tiny green Grinchy peaches later are a giveaway-they have very fine silvery/green fuzz all over them.

flowers: grapes & peaches

this is what grapes look like when in bloom and a pink peach flower and tiny baby peaches

Astrology vs Astronomy

I had thought when reading my horoscope that I had my correct sunsign, but I was wrong. I had looked up my birthdate & noted the sign it was said to be in-how difficult could it be, right? Wrong...due to ancient Biblical laws that forbade studying the stars & their positions in the sky caused alot of problems & one of those problems is that modern astrologers are reading star charts that are 2000 years old; every position stated is 2000 years out of date, & they call this Tropical Astrology.
I want to know where the sun was when I was born for real, not where it was two thousand years ago. So I bought an inexpensive, no-frills astronomy software that said I was the sign before my "paper" sign-I was surprised. I then looked up all my planets & was surprised by how it differed from the horoscope I had gotten for my birthday.

  1. June 23rd 2008 Jupiter & Pluto are in Sagitarius
  2. the Moon & Neptune are in Capricorn
  3. Uranus/Urania is in its natural sign of Aquarius
  4. Saturn & Mars are in Leo
  5. Mercury is in Taurus
  6. the Sun & Venus & Ceres are in Gemini
  7. Eris is in Cetus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cetus Basically a whale/sea monster/large fish
I'm hearing & reading too often how Pluto in Capricorn has been causing the recent SIV crisis, the mortgage meltdown, etc-poppycock! It's Neptune, it has his hallmarks all over it: self-delusion, a preference for mirages, a bad habit of trying to keep everything a secret, a childlike insistence on having it his way, complete with threats & temper tantrums, & a love of getting lost which usually turns into getting confused.
Now his lovely wife-the Moon-has joined him & will help him maintain these mirages & the confusion. Moonlight makes everything look very different from what it actually is; another specialty of the Moon is making people feel the opposite of what they would naturally would feel-in any situation, where jobs/career are concerned, real estate, banking, what the safest path would be. These 2 are having fun fooling Capricorn & the 10th House right now & the best advice is to wait until the Moon is out of Capricorn, on June 24-25 it will be in Aquarius & on the 26 it will be in Pisces-her husband's sign, her sign being Cancer/Scarab.
Jupiter & Pluto being in Sagittarius must be having quite an expanding effect on philosophy, higher learning, religion, long-distance travel, the healthcare system; Pluto's effects are thoroughly testing all of these, seeing if it holds up to close inspection or should be transformed/mutated to something else, or completely gotten rid of altogether. The airline industry seems to always need yet another government handout-every decade it seems-yet insists that the taxpayers who bail them out don't get ownership rights on the airlines-go figure. It's "you pay for it you own it" except if it's the airlines & the pharmaceutical companies.
A lot of religions seem to be going through crises now, being shaken to their foundations, their secrets let out-Pluto's doing.
Uranus/Urania in Aquarius will reveal just what exactly Human Nature actually is, as well as perhaps creating a new & somewhat unexpected change to electrical power lines, household electrical wiring-gold is the very best conducter for electricity, & plumbing/water supplies, how water is used, how it's valued, new ways to keep it/use it/carry it.
Saturn in Leo holds the temptation of being a dictator, egotistical, stubborn, dogmatic. The brighter side of Saturn in Leo is genuine rule via true strength, well-tested real abilities, a meritocracy, a realistic view of the limits in the real world-of resources, of people, of crops, etc.
Mars also being in Leo brings alot of pushy, pioneering attitude. Strong-willed, fearless, loves to try new things; but the darker aspects is a willingness to start fights, pompous, self-righteous, intimidating, not thinking things through before acting. Saturn is a very good balance here actually because he likes to plan carefully in advance. Saturn is the natural ruler of Capricorn & can use Mars' pioneering energy & create a solution to the banking mess caused by Neptune, Saturn specializes in the rules & Mars loves to blaze new trails.
Mercury in Taurus may slow down the fleet-footed God, perhaps long enough to help out Saturn & Mars, since Taurus is always drawn to material things & luxuries & comfort & banks/money/currency have something to do with those Taurean things. Snail mail & the pleasure of opening actual mail, love letters, reassurances by mail/email/instant messaging all filled with & concerned about what really matters-for each individual. Patient, resourceful, practical, enduring, realistic-all weighing heavily on many people's minds.
The Sun in Gemini-duality, hybrids, being attracted to the unusual, new things seem a better choice. Duality is here in Venus as well-the Morning & Evening Star. Shallow, flighty, insincere are the pitfalls of Gemini; flexibility, tactful, well-read, good to be around, full of interesting stories, an open willingness to communicate are the many strengths of Gemini. Ceres is an old Grain Goddess, so the falling harvests of the world's various grains can best be solved at this time by openly communicating what is going wrong & the possible solutions-like genetic engineering drought tolerant grains & grains that mature in shorter time periods instead of engineering crops with bug spray in them.
